Indoor cycling is a major health trend at the moment, but it’s one that’s been around for a while. Unlike so many other exercise trends, this one has longevity because it’s so good for your body. You might not get the same scenery or the fresh air indoor cycling you get when you cycle outdoors, but the health benefits outweigh that minor detail. If you’ve been considering an indoor cycling class or a spin class, now is the time to start. You probably have no idea just how far the health benefits of spin class reach.

Burn Serious Calories

We all like to get on the treadmill for an hour for a brisk power walk and see that we burn 300 calories or so while we do it. That feels nice, and it usually means we feel less guilty indulging in a glass of wine with dinner. However, you’re burning far more calories in a spin class than you are doing anything else. It’s great for your entire body, and it’s a lot more fun that moving around the gym from machine to machine taking a break between every set. Furthermore, it’s a low-impact workout. This makes it more appealing to anyone with old injuries since it’s less likely to cause those injuries to hurt.

The health benefits associated with indoor cycling are too numerous to count. The most important is your increased quality of life. When you are in a good mood, you have more energy. This energy allows you to focus throughout the day. It makes you happier and more patient. It allows you to get more done, and it also allows you to sleep better at night.
